IMEX BZ LLC HISTORY

BEGINNINGS OF HOLDEX HOLDINGS AND IMEX BZ LLC

Belize Farm Center

Belize Farm Center Ltd traces its roots back to its establishment in Belize City, Central America. Commencing operations, the store initially focused on offering a diverse range of products, including animal feeds, zinc roofing, louver windows, and items produced by the Mennonite population. As a comprehensive farm store, it quickly expanded its offerings to include agricultural chemicals, tools, and various essentials for farmers.

Evolution into Importation and Distribution:

Over time, Belize Farm Center evolved, undertaking its own importation endeavors and becoming an authorized dealer for renowned brands such as Ralston Purina, McCulloch, Shindaiwa, Briggs & Stratton, Suzuki, and Evinrude. The expansion encompassed not only hardware and building materials but also exports of Red Kidney Beans and Blackeye peas, sourced from Mennonite Farmers.

Global Sourcing and Exports:

Recognizing the need for diversification, the company engaged in international trade, sourcing products from Argentina, China, Ethiopia, Madagascar, Brazil, and other countries. In addition to supplying Mahogany lumber to the USA and Caribbean countries, the company discovered opportunities in exporting goods from Monterrey, Mexico, with a focus on products like Float Glass, Sanitary Ceramics, and Steel Pipes.

Transition to Imex Inc.:

In 1995, adapting to changes in the market, Belize Farm Center Ltd. transitioned its focus. The assets were sold, and the company shifted its concentration to exports and international trading under the name Imex Inc., registered in the Bahamas and operating locally as Logistex, LLC.

Establishment of Imex Bz LLC:

To accommodate evolving business requirements and global banking constraints, Imex Bz LLC was registered in Nevada in 2015. The company, owned by Holdex Holdings, Inc. (BVI), became the anchor for Imex’s operations, fostering international partnerships and expanding its sourcing network.

Commitment to Employee Ownership:

Recognizing the value of employees, Imex Inc. took a unique approach to ownership. In 2018, Mr. Roger Taylor and Mrs. Marion Taylor, the principal owners, allocated shares to Hiltex Resources, Ltd., a Belize-registered company. This move empowered key employees through ownership, with Hiltex Resources, Ltd. eventually holding a 50% stake in Imex Bz LLC.

Current Focus and Global Presence:

Imex Bz LLC is presently engaged in trading a diverse range of products, including Drywall and accessories, Doors, Sanitary Ceramics, Ceramic Tile, Plywood, Hardboard, and logs from Latin America. The company’s food product portfolio includes Beans and Peas, Meat, Hot Dogs, and Frozen French Fries.

Imex Bz LLC conducts its main business in countries such as the USA, Mexico, Guatemala, Brazil, Argentina, Salvador, Nicaragua, Portugal, Spain, UAE, the Netherlands, and various Caribbean nations. The company is open to trading opportunities in other countries as they arise.

Begimex S.A. – A Collaborative Venture:

In the pursuit of growth and diversification, Imex partnered with Mr. Enrique Rodriguez to establish Begimex S.A. in Guatemala. This collaboration focuses on importing Parboiled Rice, contributing to the production of white rice near Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala.

Imex AG LLC: Advancing Global Commodity Exports

In 2021, Imex AG LLC emerged as a transformative force, venturing into the dynamic grain export market. The company’s foray into this sector was driven by a sincere commitment to establishing itself as a trustworthy exporter, responding to concerns arising from the authenticity of numerous Letters of Intent and other documents associated with grain transactions.

Ā

Strategic Preparations and Regulatory Compliance:

Imex AG LLC strategically prepared for the complexities of the grain export market by undertaking several pivotal initiatives:

  • Successfully maintained current registration with USDA/FGIS, now in its second year, ensuring compliance and regulatory adherence.
  • Completed the registration process with the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China (GACC), establishing a foundation for international trade.
  • Secured certification from the USDA, duly sent and approved by Chinese customs, solidifying the company’s commitment to meeting international standards.
  • Obtained permission from all GMO seed companies for the export of grains to China, ensuring adherence to specific industry requirements.
  • Developed a comprehensive Free On Board (FOB) grain contract, reflecting a commitment to transparency and a seamless trading process.
  • Actively engaged in online sessions with Bobby Sutherland of Russell Marine Group, a reputable freight forwarder, to streamline logistics and shipping procedures.

Ā

Strategic Outlook:

Imex AG LLC has reached a pivotal juncture in its operations, where the consultants endorsing the company personally know the current soybean importers in China. Despite this, the company remains steadfast in its commitment to abstain from making offers to soybean importers until the availability of supplies is confirmed. This cautious approach underscores Imex AG LLC’s dedication to ensuring the success and reliability of future transactions.

ABOUT ROGER TAYLOR

After two years at Eastern Mennonite College in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, the funds ran out and with uncertainty of what the future would hold, a two-year post with the Mennonite Mission was accepted to manage a small ā€œtrading postā€ in British Honduras, now Belize, which involved buying agricultural products from local Mayan, Mestizo and Mennonite farmers and sending them to Belize City for marketing. Since the infrastructure was minimal at that time this created a needed link. A farm store was developed selling tools and agricultural chemicals needed by farmers.Ā

Ā

At the end of the two-year period in Belize and newly married, relocation was back home in Ohio where a short-term job at Smith Dairy was taken and then at Orrville Savings Bank, a small town but healthy bank, which was one of the few banks that never closed its doors during the great depression of the 30ā€™s. This bank was later purchased by larger banks and now is a PNC Bank branch. During the banking time, many of the American Institute of Banking courses were studied.

Despite enjoying a fulfilling life and a satisfying job, Mr. Taylor found the world of banking lacking in excitement. Driven by a desire for a new adventure, he decided to make a significant move to his second home in Belize City. This marked the beginning of a new chapter as he ventured into establishing a farm store in Belize, laying the foundation for the remarkable journey of IMEX BZ LLC.
