History
Imex, Inc., with it's main office in Belize, Central America, is a trading company started in 1992 to export agriculture commodities from Belize. Because of the seasonal nature of this business, building materials from Mexico were marketed in the Caribbean countries, the primary market. Because of instability of some Mexican manufacturers, product sourcing started from China.

Currently
With the importance of products from China we now have an additional office in China. Products of most importance with the largest volume are porcelain and ceramic tiles. Along with this are many other products which tile businesses in the Caribbean stock such as sanitary ceramics, kitchen cabinets and sinks, and lavatories. From Mexico Imex is still very competitive on Panel Rey gypsum dry wall and accessories. Many customers have asked for other building materials so we have suppliers from China for cement board, fiberglass shingles, doors, PVC windows, and many other building products.
